About Reading with Hygge

There's something about snuggling up under the covers with a dim light and reading an enthralling book that makes me feel like I'm in a whole other world. I am thrust into a whole new world as I read about ancient cultures and mythologies, magic, friendship, love, and so much more.​

Hygge is a Danish word that means being content in a way that is calm and comfortable, being comfortable with your life, and finding pleasure in the simplest things. I founded Reading with Hygge​ because reading is a calm activity that brings me so much happiness. It is my favorite way to practice hygge, and I want to share that with the world.
