Aru Shah is officially a mess. Her former pigeon mentor Boo is now a fiery chick. Her half sister, Kara, destroyed their godly weapons and ran off with the Sleeper to find the amrita, or the nectar of immortality. Aiden, her crush, kissed her and now acts like she doesn't exist, hurrying off whenever she's near him. And on top of it all, the Potatoes only have nine days to find the entrance to the labyrinth to stop the Sleeper from stealing the amrita for himself and his army of demons. Sorry. Got a little too excited there. I am just SO HAPPY. But also sad. But also... I can't name that feeling. It's like someone is squeezing my heart and constricting my throat and making me want to laugh and cry and scream hysterically at the same time. Weird, right? Wait. AM I GOING NUTS? Actually, that ship has sailed. Aaand... I'm getting off track again.
This book was an extremely suitable ending to this amazing series. I loved it so much. And I'm pretty sure I laughed even more while reading this book than I did the others. It's just so bittersweet, you know? I have loved this series ever since the first book came out four years ago, and I want to thank Roshani Chokshi with all of my heart. I cannot express how thankful I am to you for gifting the world with this amazing series. There are simply no words powerful enough. Aru Shah will always hold a special place in my heart.
I promise you, you will not be disappointed with this conclusion to the legendary Pandava series. It is filled with action, adventure, friendship, humor, aaaaaaand... ROMANCE!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!! I cannot wait for you to read this book. You will be laughing and crying and screaming angrily and basically just having a major emotional meltdown. At least I was. My family probably thinks I'm crazy. I'll just be sitting in the backseat reading quietly and then just burst into hysterical laughter or tears or growling in anger. Also, you should probably know that I finished this book at 12:16 am last night. I checked the time. Please don't judge me.
